Health Check

LATE POSTING 10-8-2013
Been here at the Manila Doctors Hospital since Friday, Oct. 4.
Colposcopy and cervical biopsy at 10am but was actually done before 1pm, same day at least. Hehehe,,,
Then on Saturday the Vaginal and Anal Repair was performed by three doctors..
Dra. Elsie Dancel, Dr. Alberto Roxas (anal), and Dr. Manuel Ocampo (vaginal).
Dra. Dancel is my OB-Onco who I met just last January, so my procedure was delayed for several months.
Dr. Roxas is a Colorectal Surgeon, said that i have anal incontinence... What????
Yes! As in INCONTINENCE!!!
Hahaha,,,
Anyways, Dr. Ocampo was imported by Dra. Dancel because she said he is an expert in vaginal repair with specialization from the US of A and Singapore.
Now, the problem is I didn't anticipate the additional Professional Fees it would cost me :-(
Because from the start i knew that it will be covered by my HMO...
Well, even with the huge amount of PF i can say i am glad that this is over and done with...
Now i have a healing beautiful flower!!! Hahaha,,,
Kidding aside,, with all the diacomfort and illness that the unrepaired vagina and anus brings... i am really happy now!
Just have to wait for the result of the biopsy,
I am recovering quite fast too!
No more catheter on the 2nd day,
No more dextrose on the night of my 2nd day.
I can now walk and take a bath alone...
Thankful!!!

Weight Loss and Health

I am having my health checked before i undergo a minor operation for my cervix.

Finally our health care provider is covering the whole procedure.

Originally last January my OB Onco wants to do the following procedures:

     - colposcopy with biopsy

     - partial curetage

     - perennial repair

The third procedure was not covered and i had to shell out 20k for this. Unfortunately i was not able to produce the money.

Then when our hmo was renewed last April, maternity benefits were included.

Hurah!!!

So i started with my check-ups and laboratories last June.

Well, i had some problems...

Asthma,

I needed a colorectal surgeon for the rectal repair, and when i got hold of one he requested for an endorectal ultrasound which was a rare procedure in almost all hospitals. Then finally after a few weeks Ai of Philcare found me one at The Medical City in Ortigas. I am scheduled to go there on Saturday.

Also, my sugar, uric acid and cholesterol all are at an all time high!

So my cardiologist gave me meds for all this.

Hays, i do hope that this will be over soon.... but i know it will be.

Sabi nga, pag may tiyaga may nilaga...

Thank you Lord for all the blessings!

Be Still

When I was sick and feeling weak at the hospital last month,
it occurred to me once again how we do not hold our own life....

But on a different angle we are still responsible for our life,
Firstly because I would not have high BP if I were careful of my food intake.
If I live a healthy lifestyle...

But then, anytime we could pass away... anytime...
And I believe that we do have our own time to live and to die.

So we should live our life the way we want to,
Not the way others wants us to.
I believe we should do the things that makes us happy.
And avoid those that gives us stress!

This is also true with the people we have in our life.
We should keep close the people who makes us happy,
and avoid those that makes us angry or sad....

Sometimes we have to Be Still for a while....
To think and value our existence...
Why are we alive?
For whom are we living for?
Why do we wake up everyday?
Why do we do the things that we do?
Are we doing the right things?
or are we just doing the things we do because we have to?
The most important question is are you HAPPY with your LIFE?

I know happiness is a vast thing...
But it's what keeps us going...
Sadness, anger, frustration, depression, stress...
these things drains us...
kills us eventually....

Mitral Valve Prolapse

  • Mitral valve prolapse (mitral valve prolapse) is the most common heart valve abnormality.
  • Most patients with mitral valve prolapse have no symptoms and require no treatment.
  • Mitral valve prolapse can be associated with fatigue and/or palpitations, migraine headaches.
  • Mitral valve prolapse can often be detected by a doctor during examination of the heart. mitral valve prolapse can be confirmed with an echocardiogram.
  • Patients with mitral valve prolapse are usually given antibiotics prior to any procedure which might introduce bacteria into the bloodstream, including dental work and minor surgery.

During my Doctor's visit, I found out I have MVP.
The doc says it is a congenital disease, one which you have since birth.

Anyways, says also that it's not that serious....
Just some precautions.
