Almost Fifty

So here I am again. Returning Home to my home blog! After more than six years! It's always nice to be Home. I tried using Wordpress, but I feel like it's so complkicated. And at my age, I really don't want complicated anymore. Life should be simple and happy. :)

Bravery

What is bravery?

Well, for me it is doing what you want to do because you know that it is right...

What is right?

It is when the thing you want to do does not in any way hurt another person...

I just want to be happy, because I know that when I am happy all the things I do makes other people happy!

Well, especially my children...

A lot of changes in my life right now,

But I see it as happy changes...

Makes me smile almost all the time!

My coming promotion, new work, new people...

New people in my life that brings me happiness,,,

I have so many things to be Thankful for!!!

Hurt and Hope

Some things are just meant to be.

Sometimes when we least expect it, it just happens.

There are some things in my life right now that I don't understand....

Some things I want to question, but can't. Or afraid to..

But there are more things and people I am thankful for.

And I know that is more important,,,

Having mixed feelings about some things and some people.

Really so many questions.

But who am I to question God's plans?

I just have to go on with ny life, with what makes me happy at this time and the time to come.

Maybe someday all the questions I have in my heart will be answered....

So many "why"s....

Goals and Changes

Have to keep my eyes on the Goal,

I feel like someting is changing in me.

I don't know. . .

Losing focus? Losing my purpose?

I hope not,

I may be alone, but i know i am not.

My family needs me, i can't be selfish now.

I have to do the things that i know is right,

Confused right now maybe, because things are not going as fast to where i want to go.

But i have to be strong and focus!

I know i will make it, it is already written.

Just need to have faith.

Beautiful People

A truly beautiful person is the one who knows oneself and is happy for the life he/she has.

I believe in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs:

I'll explain why later.
Have to prepare for work now.

Al Jouf, Riyadh

This picture was taken two days before hubby left for Riyadh, KSA
He has a one year work contract with the Saudi Railway Authority (SAR)
He left last April 27

The first week was terrible,,,
His position as Mechanical Technician turned out to be a heavy job for him
He's not used to manual physical labor.
Training with American Train Drivers

Good thing after several weeks and three attempts
He was accepted as a Train Driver (trainee)
He'll be trained for about three months
After the evaluation (which I know he'll pass),
He'll officially be an Assistant Train Driver
or a Train Driver
Including an increase in salary

The Room (middle)

Their crew room is actually a "Camp"
and it's a bit far from the main office and canteen
So a shuttle picks them up for their meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Hopefully he'll make it through the one year contract....

12 Laws of Karma

-THE GREAT LAW -
"As you sow, so shall you reap". This is also known as the "Law of Cause and Effect".
Whatever we put out in the Universe is what comes back to us.
If what we want is Happiness, Peace, Love, Friendship...Then we should BE Happy, Peaceful, Loving and a True Friend.

-THE LAW OF CREATION -
Life doesn't just HAPPEN, it requires our participation.
We are one with the Universe, both inside and out.
Whatever surrounds us gives us clues to our inner state.
BE yourself, and surround yourself with what you want to have present in your Life.

-THE LAW OF HUMILITY -
What you refuse to accept, will continue for you.
If what we see is an enemy, or someone with a character trait that we find to be negative,
then we ourselves are not focused on a higher level of existence.

-THE LAW OF GROWTH -
"Wherever you go, there you are".
For us to GROW in Spirit, it is we who must change - and not the people, places or things around us.
The only given we have in our lives is OURSELVES
and that is the only factor we have control over.
When we change who and what we are within our heart
our life follows suit and changes too.

-THE LAW OF RESPONSIBILITY -
Whenever there is something wrong in my life,
there is something wrong in me.
We mirror what surrounds us - and what surrounds us mirrors us; this is a Universal Truth.
We must take responsibility what is in our life.

-THE LAW OF CONNECTION -
Even if something we do seems inconsequential,
it is very important that it gets done as everything in the Universe is connected.
Each step leads to the next step, and so forth and so on.
Someone must do the initial work to get a job done.
Neither the first step nor the last are of greater significance,
As they were both needed to accomplish the task.
Past - Present - Future
They are all connected...

-THE LAW OF FOCUS -
You can not think of two things at the same time.
When our focus is on Spiritual Values, it is impossible for us to have lower thoughts such as greed or anger.

-THE LAW OF GIVING AND HOSPITALITY -
If you believe something to be true,
then sometime in your life
you will be called upon to demonstrate that particular truth.
Here is where we put what we CLAIM that we have learned,
into actual PRACTICE.

-THE LAW OF HERE AND NOW -
Looking backward to examine what was,
prevents us from being totally in the HERE AND NOW.
Old thoughts, old patterns of behavior, old dreams...
Prevent us from having new ones.

-THE LAW OF CHANGE -
History repeats itself until we learn the lessons that we need to change our path.

-THE LAW OF PATIENCE AND REWARD -
All Rewards require initial toil.Rewards of lasting value require patient and persistent toil.
True joy follows doing what we're suppose to be doing, and waiting for the reward to come in on it's own time.

-THE LAW OF SIGNIFICANCE AND INSPIRATION -
You get back from something whatever YOU have put into it.
The true value of something is a direct result of
the energy and intent that is put into it.

**** Just sharing something I found on my friends' wall on Facebook... very nice

Life Is What You Make It

There are times when I pray to the Lord:
"Please lead me where you want to take me....
Show me now the place where you are molding me to be into."
I know He has plans for us.
We are not in this world without a reason.

There are times when I feel I am in a limbo,
Not knowing where I am going.

Then I offer myself to the Lord
and tell Him:
"Your will be done!"

Love sometimes wants to do us a great favor: hold us upside down and shake all the nonsense out.
Your love
Should never be offered to the mouth of a stranger,
Only to someone who has the valor and daring
To cut pieces of their soul off with a knife
Then weave them into a blanket
To protect you.

Mitral Valve Prolapse

  • Mitral valve prolapse (mitral valve prolapse) is the most common heart valve abnormality.
  • Most patients with mitral valve prolapse have no symptoms and require no treatment.
  • Mitral valve prolapse can be associated with fatigue and/or palpitations, migraine headaches.
  • Mitral valve prolapse can often be detected by a doctor during examination of the heart. mitral valve prolapse can be confirmed with an echocardiogram.
  • Patients with mitral valve prolapse are usually given antibiotics prior to any procedure which might introduce bacteria into the bloodstream, including dental work and minor surgery.

During my Doctor's visit, I found out I have MVP.
The doc says it is a congenital disease, one which you have since birth.

Anyways, says also that it's not that serious....
Just some precautions.

I want

Someone sent me this message:

I want to see you glow

from head to toe
watch you laugh so hard
because I said a joke

I want to love you
like nobody has
think about the future with me
and forget about the past

I want to ease your soul
and open up your mind
give you a spin on life
and make everything fine

I want to look into your eyes
and feel your heart
give you everything you need
I won't stop, once I start

I want to hold you tight
and brush the hair from your face
Whisper, "I love you" in your ear
and feel your heart start to race

I want to give you a piece of me
that nobody else has
I'll wipe away the tears
after I said words, I could never take back

I want everything with you baby
and this is our chance
So lets stay close
hand in hand

So lovely....

Lesson Learned

Lesson learned:

Always have a backup plan,

just don't be someone else's ... ♥ ♥ ♥

In our life, we often meet people who touches us in different ways.
Just recently I met people who I thought were true people telling true stories.
Maybe it's because by nature, I trust too easily.... or maybe they are really good in deceiving people with lies.

One night I dreamed of a white and yellow phyton,
I was in a house with friends (kinda), one of the man has a pet phyton who was so friendly and it was crawling from my back, shoulders...
until it took my whole right hand in its' mouth payfully at first....
when suddenly I felt it biting me!
The owner of the snake took it from my hand,,,,
But the snake went following or running after me and a friend of mine around the house.
The owner went out to get a gun and when he came back with the gun that's the time when I woke up.

Usually when I dream of snakes, someone I know is deceiving me.
After two weeks I learned who it was.

I thank God for giving me people who are honest and true....
But I also thank Him for people who are deceiving,
because they make me appreciate the people who are true to me;
and because they make me a stronger person....
giving me lessons in life....

New Year's Resolutions

That's "resolutions" because I have several....
To start with the very classic:

  • Lose more weight... I know, I know... Hehehe... 10 kilos of weight from 2010 to 2011 is not enough! Still need to lose some 5 kilos more....
  • Second, be empowered! Don't slack... just do what I have to do! Time is short, life should be LIVED!
  • Meet with old friends....
  • Spend more time with the children, explore Philippines with them.
  • Read more books,,,
  • Write more.
  • Be patient but persevere!!!!

Words That Hurt

The quality of your words will determine the quality of your life—including the life of the people around you.

Do your words bless or curse?
Do your words heal or cause disease?
Do your words give life or give death?
Do your words nourish or poison?
Do your words lift up or lower down?
Do your words encourage or discourage?
Be careful with your words…

This is an excerpt from a post of Bo Sanchez, one of my favorite Catholic Preacher.
So true that sometimes we forget that the words that we say may kill other people, especially those most dear to us.
I know of one person who do this to me,,,, most of the time.
Well, we have choices... or rather I have choices.
But the choices we make should be based not only on our self-preservation but especially our children.
Maybe one day....
Maybe never...

Struggles = Strength

Strength does not come from Winning,
Your Struggles develop your Strengths.
When you go through hardships and decide Not to Surrender,
that is STRENGTH!!!

I learned early on in life that this is true.
I lost my Papa when I was nine years old,,,
My Mama did her best to provide for us and make us a happy family.
And by God, she did a good job!!!

But our time together was short lived,
She died when I was Sixteen, barely a few days before my Seventeenth birthday....
That was the saddest birthday of my life,,,

From that time my journey began...
Struggles, sacrifices, depression, anxiety, uncertainty....
Not knowing what the future holds for me.

Deciding to have children as my inspiration was a good choice.
They became my strength and guide...
Never losing hope,,,
Always telling myself "This too Shall Pass".

And now, almost Twenty-Three years after my Mama died...
I could proudly tell her, "'Ma, you definitely did a good job in raising me!"
Our Struggles makes us Stronger every time,

Just like it did my Mama,
Just like it did Me....

Merry Christmas to ALL!!!
